Manchester is certainly known for music and across the city you will find someone playing something at almost anytime of the day or the night.
You will hear everything from a street busker knocking out (often it has to be said badly) the latest pop hit or an Oasis composition to the Manchester Arena hosting the likes of Madonna, Kylie and AC/DC.
Manchester has a strong links with the classical scene too, being home to the Halle Orchestra and the world famous RNCM.
