The Opera House is located just off Deansgae and is near the Old Granada Studios. Its auditorium has seating for 1920 and it plays host to national touring ballet troupes, concerts and musicials.

Opened in 1912 as the New Queens Theatre, today it is owned and operated by the Ambassadors Theatre Grroup (ATG) who also own Manchesters Palace Theatre.
